Three mighty men

19.02.2014 new product, black and white fairy tales

We started our black and white fairy tales series with the pictures of three princesses. We wanted to have then three mighty men. But when we started to look for them in the fairy tales, we discovered that it isn't so easy. There are no so many male characters in well-known fairy tales. Mostly beautiful princesses and powerful queens are the main characters. Of course, there are brave princes and kings beside those women, but they are not so famous.

But nontheless we found three characters :)

The Valiant Little Tailor, whose mind is sharp as the needle and who kills seven at one blow and marries the King's daughter.

Little Muck, who beside magical boots and staff finds magical figs that grow and reduce nose and ears.

And our first bad figure - Kashchey the Deathless - is such a  strong character and known from several Russian fairy tales. He can fly, turn into raven and it's hart to kill him - Kaschchey's life is in the needle that is in the egg, that is in the duck, that is in the hare, that is in the chest, that is on the high oak, that is guarded by Kaschchey.

Design and vintage fair at Design night festival in Telliskivi Loomelinnak

30.09.2013 fair, Telliskivi loomelinnak

On Saturday we were in Telliskivi Loomelinnak. Our line of products included picture from brand new series and couple of new products from the proverbs series. We'll tell more about them later this week.

This time we noticed several new products and brands and here's a little bit about them.

Härra Aprill offered these great shelves. Very cool product that is practical, but also will make your home look nicer. Maria put them into those good looking boxes:

Kummi vööbik's belts made from recycled bicycle tyres were a real eyecatcher. The belts were really cool...

...but also it was very cool to see them presented on the old bicycle:

Nice colorful set of children clothes from Cotton. All made in Estonia and very human- and nature-friendly (organic cotton, water-based colors). Pictures on the clothes are drawn by Aleksei Turovski:

Next to us there was Mänfred who sold cool hangers. The hangers made of thick film faced plywood (it has smooth cover) looked very solid and interesting :) I must have some of those!

Augustiunetus

13.08.2013 fair, Augustiunetus, Pärnu

Last weekend we were in Pärnu. Augustiunetus (August Insomnia) has very special and cool feeling. Organisers somehow manage to create relaxed, fun and friendly environment. There was some rain this year, but the event was a success anyway. It was very nice!

Our table, as always, was at the cross of Roosi and Supeluse streets:

Haiku was with us again. On this photo he's watching his stick :)

There was a lots of four-legged friends at Augustiunetus. Here's one proud and classy customer:

Roosi street is full of small improvised cafes at the event. Here are the hostesses of Häpi Hipi Cafe:

Mandatory photo of the muffin:

Yeah, it was cool :)

Be Lucky starts!

09.10.2011 fair, Tartu kaubamaja, Tartu

About one year ago we had an idea to create our company. Company that would make the world more beautiful. We felt that we had many good ideas and could create things that are much prettier than those that can be found in the shops. The time will show, if we'll succeed.

In spring 2011 our ideas were more clear and in summer of the same year LSB LLC was created. It's still a secret why this name was chosen :) We named our brand Be Lucky. Although we love Estonian language, it was decided to have brand name in English, because we have a small dream of getting our products outside of Estonia, too. In that case English brand would be more understood. Although it sounds a little bit like a brand of a lottery company, we feel that it brings out also our philosophy. Luckiness can have different forms. We think that a person is lucky, if he/she is beautiful inside and outside and it's perfect if those are in balance. By outer beauty we mean more the environment that surrounds person - clothes, accessories, furniture, utensils, city space etc. If all of those elements are nice and well designed, then definitely it's easier for person to focus on his/her inner beauty.

Company created in summer started to take off very slowly and step by step in September-October. We felt now very well how every little thing requires much more effort and time than we expected. But it's the best feeling to see the final product in the end :) We rely on our own ideas and feelings when creating our products, but it's really important to get some feedback from people. We had a chance to get this feedback a couple of weeks ago :) There was Estonian Creation Day at Tartu Mall and we were selling our products.

And now about that feedback: it was 100% positive! We were prepared to hear criticism about our products or prices, but of course we hoped that people we'll like our things. People who stopped by our table had only positive emotions. It was great to see customers having a look at our things and then smile :)

We had for our first sale buttons, prints, cups, plates and accessories.

Thanks to Marliis for photos!
